First Step Staffing is seeking an experienced Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, coordinate freight movement, and lead a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Logistics
Coordinate inbound and outbound loading and unloading schedules across multiple dock doors.
Oversee sorting, staging, and verification of LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight.
Maintain accurate shipping documents, manifests, and freight logs.
Manage line-haul driver dispatch and minimize truck and trailer dwell times.
Ensure efficient operations while meeting carrier and customer deadlines.
Team Leadership & Supervision
Supervise, train, and support a team of 10+ dockworkers and material handlers.
Assign daily responsibilities and coordinate shift operations.
Monitor employee performance, productivity, and workplace safety.
Maintain an organized, efficient, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
Previous warehouse or logistics supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of LTL freight operations, shipping, receiving, and dispatch.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to work night shifts.
Compensation
Pay is based on experience (DOE).
