This project focuses on documenting a major civil rights matter, a personal survival story, and systemic institutional non-response involving the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) West Valley Division.
I possess extensive primary digital video evidence—including raw footage recorded five minutes after a life-threatening violent attack, video captured throughout a 7-day hospital stay, and documented attempts to engage local law enforcement—as well as complete medical charts and hospital admittance records.
I am seeking a production partner to help conduct structured on-camera interviews, organize existing digital and paper evidence, film background b-roll, edit footage, and package this material into a high-impact investigative documentary short, pitch deck, or web series.
SECTION 2: BACKGROUND & THE UNDERLYING INCIDENT
On February 27, 2025, around 10:00 PM, I survived an ambush on Ventura Boulevard in Encino, California. During the violent assault, I sustained multiple severe injuries from an attacker and a pit bull, including a deep wrist incision inflicted with a razor or surgical blade. The blade missed vital blood vessels by less than a quarter of an inch, buffered in part by a thick hair scrunchy on my right wrist.
Emergency room personnel at the scene immediately recognized the cut as a blade injury rather than a dog bite and alerted local law enforcement. Two LAPD officers arrived briefly at the emergency room that night, asked a few questions, and left in under five minutes without filing an official crime report or initiating an investigation.
Over the following months, several critical events occurred:
One month after the assault, I developed a severe subdermal tissue infection (an inner skin ulcer) roughly an inch below the original wrist incision, resulting in a 7-day inpatient hospitalization at Encino General Hospital. This internal tissue destruction indicated the presence of a toxic or biological agent introduced during the blade attack.
I visited the LAPD West Valley Division on five separate occasions to request a formal investigation, submit evidence, and speak with detectives. On every occasion—including twice where I went directly upstairs to the detective bureau—I was turned away without an official police report being filed or logged.
This project explores the intersection of violent crime victimization, housing status, social media investigative work (including my TikTok investigative series, "Murder Mile, and the Homeless Ghosts of Encino, California"), and the institutional barriers encountered when seeking equal protection under the law.
SECTION 3: SCOPE OF WORK & PRODUCTION DELIVERABLES
I am looking for a media partner to assist across four primary phases of production:
Phase 1: On-Camera Interviews & Testimony
Conducting structured, professional audio and video interviews capturing the detailed timeline of events, medical recovery, social media background, and encounters with law enforcement.
Phase 2: Evidence & Archival Organization
Reviewing and indexing raw digital media, medical charts, hospital admittance records, call logs, and pending Public Records Act (PRA) requests—specifically Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) logs—to establish a clear, undeniable timeline proving law enforcement was dispatched without generating a formal report.
Phase 3: B-Roll & Location Filming
Capturing ambient background footage, location shots along Ventura Boulevard in Encino, and documenting ongoing outreach efforts to civilian oversight bodies, including the LAPD Office of the Inspector General (OIG), the Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners, and the California Department of Justice.
Phase 4: Editing & Final Master Assembly
Editing a compelling 10-to-20-minute investigative short film or video pitch presentation suitable for public release, submission to civil rights legal teams, documentary festivals, or digital streaming channels.
SECTION 4: CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS & DESIRED SKILLS
Camera & Audio Gear: Owns and operates a standard high-definition or 4K camera package, basic portable lighting, and wireless lavalier or shotgun microphones.
Editing Capabilities: Proficiency in non-linear editing software (such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve) with a strong sense of pacing, narrative structure, and investigative storytelling.
Sensitivity & Ethics: Comfort working with sensitive, high-impact personal subject matter, medical documentation, and legal accountability themes.
Investigative Awareness: Basic understanding of evidence preservation, public records usage, and journalistic standards.

Hospital triage notes, medical charts, and staff entries documenting admittance immediately following the attack, confirming the presence of a blade incision, and recording staff notification to local law enforcement.
Hospital Inpatient Charts (March 2025):
Complete medical records covering a 7-day inpatient stay at Encino General Hospital for treatment of a severe subdermal tissue ulcer beneath the original cut, establishing secondary toxic/biological injury progression.
Station Visit Activity Log (March – July 2025):
Chronological ledger detailing five separate visits to the LAPD West Valley Division, recording dates, times, personnel descriptions, and explicit refusals by desk personnel and detective staff to take a crime report.
