I run a small, owner-operated landscaping business, and I'm looking for an assistant who loves being outdoors and wants to learn the craft of creating and caring for beautiful spaces.
Many of my clients have been with me for years. Their gardens are ones I've designed, built, and looked after season after season, and there's a real satisfaction in watching a space mature and come into its own. I'm looking for someone who'd enjoy being part of that.
WHAT THE WORK LOOKS LIKE:
- Planting and shaping new gardens and landscape projects
- Ongoing care and upkeep for long-time clients' properties
- Installing and maintaining irrigation that keeps everything thriving
- Proficiency in the office and around a computer would be a major bonus, but not required. (Creates more hours during downtime in the field)
BEING UPFRONT:
This is real, physical outdoor work. There's digging, lifting, and some days you'll go home dirty. It happens in every season, and hours can be irregular, with slow stretches and busy ones. If that sounds like a fair trade for spending your days outside making places beautiful, keep reading.
WHO I'M LOOKING FOR:
- Someone with a genuine interest in plants, gardens, and the landscaping field
- Reliable, honest, and eager to learn
- Comfortable with physical work and the weather
- Available to start right away
NICE TO HAVE, NOT REQUIRED:
- Landscaping or gardening experience
- Your own vehicle
PAY:
Starts at a probationary wage of $20/hr for the first month. Wage will increase based on performance and experience.
TO APPLY:
Tell me why you're drawn to this kind of work, any experience with gardening or outdoor work (personal projects count), and your availability. Please include the word "sprinkler" in your reply so I know you read the whole post.
Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
