📌 Part-Time Remote Intake Attorney (California) – Consultations & Document Reviews Only

Location: 100% Remote (Must be California-based and licensed)

Pay: $50/hour

🔹 About Us

We’re an established California law firm (established in 2002) looking to add experienced California attorneys to our team on a part-time, independent-contractor basis.

This position is specifically for attorneys who want to provide intake only (legal consultations and document reviews without taking on ongoing representation, court appearances, depositions, discovery, or litigation responsibilities).

This can be a great fit for experienced attorneys looking to supplement an existing practice, semi-retired attorneys, attorneys working from home, or anyone who enjoys advising clients but does not want the obligations that come with managing a caseload.

🔹 Practice Areas

We are interested in attorneys with experience in one or more areas of California law, including:

• Family Law – divorce, custody, support, restraining orders, prenups, etc.

• Employment Law – termination, wage/hour, discrimination, workplace issues

• Civil Litigation – contracts, business disputes, property disputes, general civil matters

• Landlord-Tenant Law

• Estate Planning / Probate

• Business / Corporate / Transactional Law

• Personal Injury
• Consumer Law

• Real Estate Law

• Other California practice areas

You do not need experience in all of these areas. Attorneys can accept consultations and document reviews only within the areas in which they are comfortable and experienced.

🔹 What You'll Do

Your assignments would generally consist of:

• Conducting scheduled telephone or video consultations with California clients

• Reviewing contracts, agreements, pleadings, demand letters, court documents, and other legal documents

• Explaining applicable California law and the client's legal options

• Identifying potential issues, risks, deadlines, and next steps

• Providing practical legal guidance within your area of experience

• Providing limited-scope document review and feedback when requested

No court appearances. No depositions. No discovery. No managing litigation. No requirement to take cases for full representation.

If a client needs services beyond the consultation or document review, the matter can be referred back to the firm for further handling.

• No need to build or maintain a separate caseload
• No client acquisition or marketing required
