Construction Working Foreman / Superintendent – Hands-On Framing (Los Angeles)

We are an established Los Angeles-area General Contractor seeking an experienced Working Construction Foreman / Superintendent to supervise and actively participate in commercial tenant improvements, retail build-outs, renovations, and residential remodeling projects.

We are looking for someone with a strong carpentry and framing background who has progressed into supervising construction projects, can read plans, coordinate subcontractors, and is comfortable working alongside crews when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise daily construction activities, subcontractors, and field crews.
• Read and interpret construction plans, including architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Perform and assist with hands-on carpentry, wood framing, metal stud framing, and other construction tasks as needed.
• Coordinate trades, material deliveries, inspections, and daily jobsite schedules.
• Identify and resolve construction issues to keep projects moving forward.
• Monitor workmanship, quality, productivity, and jobsite safety.
• Maintain basic daily reports, jobsite photos, and progress updates.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of construction experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience supervising construction crews or subcontractors.
• Strong hands-on carpentry and wood/metal framing experience required.
• Ability to read construction plans and understand construction sequencing.
• Experience with commercial tenant improvements, retail build-outs, and/or residential remodeling.
• Ability to independently coordinate jobsite activities and resolve field issues.
• Basic computer, email, and construction reporting skills.
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
• Reliable transportation to Los Angeles-area jobsites.

Someone who knows construction from actual field experience, can lead crews and subcontractors, understands how projects come together, and isn't afraid to pick up tools and help get the job done.

This is not an entry-level labor position or a desk-only superintendent role. We need someone who can both manage the jobsite and perform construction work.
