WhaleFilm is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to join our fabrication team on swing shift. This position will be responsible for both programming and operating our Biesse CNC machine, primarily producing parts from sheet goods for custom fabrication and millwork projects.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking a project from CNC programming and nesting through machine setup and operation.
Responsibilities
Program and operate our Biesse CNC machine
Nest parts and program 3-axis toolpaths for sheet goods
Prepare CNC files for production
Set up tooling and machine parameters for each job
Load and unload plywood, MDF, laminates, and other sheet materials
Run CNC programs and monitor the machine throughout production
Verify dimensions, tooling, material, and setup before running jobs
Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
Troubleshoot basic programming and machining issues
Keep the CNC area clean, organized, and safe
Coordinate with our fabrication and production teams to keep projects moving efficiently
Requirements
Previous Biesse CNC experience strongly preferred
Previous CNC programming and machine operating experience required
Experience nesting and programming 3-axis CNC toolpaths
Experience machining plywood, MDF, laminates, and other sheet goods
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
Ability to work from dimensions and production drawings
Comfortable using measuring tools and checking finished parts for accuracy
Strong attention to detail
Dependable and able to work independently during swing shift
Positive, team-oriented attitude

Monday–Friday
2:00 PM–10:30 PM
Compensation
$–$ per hour, depending on experience
