Applicants must have a minimum of two years of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.
THE WORK
• Pick up and move shipping containers from LA Distribution Center to customer facilities throughout Southern California
• Most containers picked up from the port carry fresh produce
• Return and backhaul containers are loaded with dry cargo and transported back to Port Hueneme, Los Angeles Port and Long Beach Port
• All freight is no-touch for the driver; customers and warehouse personnel handle all loading and unloading
• Assignments include live loads, live unloads, and drop-and-pick moves
• Drivers are responsible for safely transporting the container, completing inspections, and submitting all required trip documents and photographs
SCHEDULE
• Monday through Saturday
• Start time is approximately 12:00 AM (midnight)
• Drivers are home daily
• Approximately 50–70 hours per week is typical, depending on customer demand, dispatch needs, safety requirements, and legal hours-of-service limits
• Weekly hours are not guaranteed
PAY
• $25.00 per hour
• $37.50 per hour for hours worked over 40 during the Monday–Sunday workweek

REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of two years of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience required
• Valid Class A commercial driver’s license
• Current DOT medical card
• Acceptable driving record
• Must meet DOT drug-testing and Clearinghouse requirements
• A current TWIC card is preferred but not required at the time of hiring
• Applicants without a TWIC card must be eligible to obtain one; FMS will cover the cost
• Container, chassis, port, or drayage experience preferred
• Must be dependable and available for midnight starts and Saturday work
• Must communicate with dispatch and properly submit trip documents, BOLs, delivery orders, seal photos, and equipment photos
• Must follow all company safety procedures and hours-of-service rules
