This is 2014 custom build Specialized Rockhopper 29 size small (15.5 inches seat tube). (The small size Rockhopper feels much more like a MTB compared to the size M which feels more like a road bike, and from what I can find to explain that, it seems to be probably because the small size has only 10mm shorter rich but 2 inches shorter seat tube, than the size medium.)
The bike has Sram Eagle NX 1x12 drivetrain.
NEW wide-narrow chainring 30T.
NEW seat/saddle, which was about 200 euros (I got it from Italy).
2014 Rockhopper 29 has few futures that set it a part from the rest.
1). The bike has a TEMPERED HEAD TUBE, and the new one doesn’t.
And since all the modern decent forks have tempered steerers, tempered head tube makes it possible and easy to upgrade the fork.
2). This bike has EXTERNAL routing, and the new one doesn’t.
If you have worked on a bike, this is no brainer…
3). Build from A1 aluminum, which maybe not the lightest specialized aluminum but it’s probably one of the the strongest.
