Searching to rent a house, condo or apartment. Even if you may have elderly parents with an entire basement or a floor that's NOT in use. Someone (me) will be home with them 90% of the time and in case of emergency! I'm over 60. I've lived in my condo for 8 years. Never late, never a problem w/ the owner, happy to give you their number to ask any questions you like. I pay $850.00. I don't make alot but I have a steady, remote job in the healthcare/legal/admin field and I do pay my bills so I can live as normal a life as possible. I also do instacart and DD on weekends to supplement. My building is getting nuts and the owners are now thinking about selling. This puts me in an extremely tough spot. This was a safe, well kept area (that is now managed out of Dayton - no one is ever on site anymore) and since the new mngmt took over the complex, it's become like the wild wild west. I'm a total animal lover but this was a no pet building. Now there are multiple untrained 'support animals' in the bldg. No one cares or respects anything here and it's gone down hill, big time. Security door remains propped open 24/7, randos all over, screaming off balconies, now my car is even getting scratched up. Yes, I take care of that too. Look, I could go on. It's not good. I don't live like that. I'm a clean, tidy and quiet person with good credit and references who wants to live in a safe, clean, quiet environment but due to life circumstances and as much as I would absolutely love to, I just can't afford a $30k downpayment and subsequent upkeep of home ownership at my age. No-one does RTO anymore. Does anyone have a property that they would consider renting in my current price range and in exchange, be comforted in knowing your place will be well cared for and maintained by a neighbor' (me) who will be there 90% of the time. I even love flowers, yardwork and gardening. Yes, I do mow a normal sized yard. I currently live near the Meijer on the Westside as my kids/grands are nearby. I am of course open to other areas (can't be picky under these circumstances). I hope this gets SOMEone's attention because quite frankly, this sucks. I don't want to move but I also don't want to be forced to move if my unit's owner emails to let me know they are in fact putting my unit up so I'm trying to get out ahead of this. I would just be devastated. My financial life is pre-covid if that makes sense. You are getting peace of mind having me on site and keeping your property clean and nice. I believe there is absolute value in that and surely there are others who understand my position and are interested. Who knows, maybe I'm crazy for doing this. Don't know unless I ask. People aren't mind readers. Pics are of my balcony (my tiny oasis haha).
