I went through three different "new to me" used/refurbished VCR's before I found one that didn't fail after a couple tapes ( or in the case of the first one I bought just ate the tape ). I bought an RCA to USB digital converter, and I spent a couple weekends converting my father's old VHS tapes to digital files.
I was going to post the VCR and conversion hardware for sale ( trust me VCR's are a lot more expensive than you think lol.. the one I bought that finally/actually worked/works was $400 ), but then figured, I bet there's plenty of people who have old VHS tapes that they have wanted to convert for years and just never got around to getting it done.
Email/text me with the number of tapes you have and I will send you back a price. ( You're welcome to make an offer as well )
