Looking for Affordable Efficiency/1 Bedroom Apartment (Houston)

I am looking to rent an efficiency or small 1 bedroom apartment. I would like to stay between $700 - $800 a month + utilities, if possible. I work full time and am needing something closer to work and would also prefer that the efficiency/apartment have an individual owner as I do not want to have to pay a ton of fees or have my credit ran several times during the application process as I am working at rebuilding my credit. I would also consider a roommate situation but I am a bit of a recluse so that would need to be understood up front. I work full time, I stay to myself and am currently in a bit of a nightmarish roommate situation that I need to get out of sooner than later.
