We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Office Assistant to join our established ophthalmology practice. Our team includes 4 MDs and 2 ODs, and our front office plays an important role in providing an excellent patient experience and keeping our practice running smoothly.
What You'll Do
• Welcome and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner.
• Check patients in and out and maintain accurate patient information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and authorizations.
• Collect and process patient payments.
• Answer phones and assist with patient calls and questions.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments and testing.
• Follow up on missed appointments and scheduling needs.
• Prepare charts and documentation for physicians and technicians.
• Monitor Tebra requests, emails, and voice messages.
• Keep the front office organized and welcoming.
• Support physicians, technicians, and front-office staff as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow office procedures.
What We're Looking For

• Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player.
Experience
Ophthalmology experience is preferred, but not required.
Candidates with medical office experience and insurance knowledge are encouraged to apply. We are willing to train the right candidate on our ophthalmology-specific procedures, systems, and workflow.
