Job title: General Landscape Maintenance / Labor for Growing Ranches
Location: Lompoc / Buellton, CA, Must be local to the area
I’m looking for some help with developing two ranch properties here in the valley; one property located just outside Lompoc, the other just outside of Buellton. Opportunities will include general property maintenance (general landscaping and irrigation implementation, trimming, mowing, etc) Some general labor required (trenching, digging, lifting, moving, squatting).
Knowledge of general carpentry, masonry, garden and tree care, permaculture, regenerative farming, natural food processes highly desirable.
Ideal candidates will possess stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean worksite / landscape is imperative.
Starting wage rate will be based on experience.
Requirements:
- Physical capability to bend, stoop, squat, lift up to 50+ lbs, stand, and sit for extended periods
- Experience in General Construction Labor, Carpentry, Masonry, or Landscaping highly desirable
- Self-motivated and takes initiative
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong teamwork skills
- Proficient with manual labor tasks
- Fluent in English
- Competence in safely operating construction machinery such as drills, power saws, grinders, chainsaws mandatory
- Familiarity with lawn maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, etc., preferred
This is an establishing 20 acre ranch, and additional 40 acre mixed use property; tasks will vary depending on development schedule. I’m hoping to find a long-term employee (“Ranch Hand”) that cares about the integrity of their work and takes pride in ownership of their environment.
