16 channel home recording studio solution. Uses 2x 8ch Firewire audio interfaces linked by optical cable, connected to the included Firewire PCIE card.
This gives you 16 channels, 10 preamps, 4 midi ports.
YES, THIS RUNS ON WINDOWS 10 IN 2026. I am not sure about Win11 or mac, but you could use Ai to try it out.
Includes:
- Master unit: M-Audio 1814, 8ch interface ($600 new).
- slave unit: Phonic Firefly 808, 8ch interface ($400 new).
- $50 PCIEx2 Firewire card, fits x2, x4, x16 slots (standard GPU slots).
- Optical cable (for connecting the units), a FW cable, and a dongle for 1814.
- SD card with all drivers and detailed install/setup guides (text and PDF).
I ran this system with only 13ms latency on a 2020 windows 10 build.
Setup is not hard but not plug and play either. I can install on your system & get it running for additional $100, but honestly, anyone tech savvy can have this dialed in within 40 min.
