Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime as needed)

Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret blueprints, shop detail drawings, and weld symbols to plan layouts and assembly sequences.
• Fit up and align structural steel components (stairs, beams, columns, handrails, trusses, plates) accurately according to strict tolerances.
• Perform high-quality welds using MIG (GMAW) and Flux-Cored (FCAW) welding processes in multiple positions.
• Operate shop equipment safely, including forklift, lightning table, ironworkers, torch equipment, band saws, and grinders.
• Tack-weld components into place for final inspection before completing full production passes.
• Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy, weld profile quality, and adherence to AWS codes.
• Maintain safe work areas by adhering to OSHA standards and properly using required PPE.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience fitting and welding in a heavy structural steel fabrication shop environment.
• Proficient blueprint reading skills, including a deep understanding of structural layouts and AWS welding symbols.
• Strong welding capabilities in Dual Shield Flux-Core (FCAW) and MIG (GMAW)
• Expertise using layout tools, squares, and basic math to check angles, sweep, camber, and overall fitment tolerances.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, bend, or kneel safely during shop shifts.
• Reliable transportation to our shop facility in Jonestown, TX.
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Ability to pass a background check
