Casting Director Needed for Gospel Stage Play (Atlanta)

We're a faith-based production group bringing a gospel stage play to cities across Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Louisiana, and Mississippi. We need a casting director with a strong eye for talent to find and secure actors who can move an audience.
**Roles you'll cast:**
- **Grandfather:** Black male, older. Comedic role. Quick-witted, full of one-liners,
- **Grandmother:** Black female, older. Strong, loving, holds everyone together
- **Therapist:** White female. Calm, professional, sees more than she says
- **Attorney:** White male. Sharp, confident, all business
- **Attorney:** Black female. Smart, polished, commands the room
- **Twins (2 roles):** Two Black females who can play twins with very different personalities. Must show strong acting range
- **Young Man:** Young Black male. Tough exterior, real story underneath, aspiring artist.
- **Young Single Mother:** Young Black female. Working hard, carrying a lot, fighting for her child
**What you'll do:**
- Break down each role with the director
- Write and post casting calls on local and online platforms
- Reach out to churches, schools, theater groups, and talent networks
- Schedule and run auditions and callbacks
- Assess acting, singing, stage presence, and fit for each role
- Recommend final cast picks and understudies
- Keep talent contacts, headshots, and audition notes organized
- Help communicate rehearsal schedules and expectations to the cast
**What we're looking for:**
- Casting experience in theater, film, or live performance
- Strong eye for comedic timing and dramatic range
- Ear for vocal talent, since gospel singing is part of our shows
- Connections in the church, gospel, or performing arts community
- Organized, clear, and respectful with performers of all experience levels
- Able to work evenings and weekends during audition periods
- Willing to cast across multiple cities and states
- Experience with gospel plays or church productions is a big plus
