MOVER/ DELIVERY DRIVER
DEPARTMENT: WAREHOUSE
REPORTS TO: WAREHOUSE MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Mover/Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for safely delivering and moving appliances, appliance parts, and miscellaneous items to our properties.
Responsibilities
• Load, transport, unload, and deliver appliances, parts, and other materials.
• Safely move heavy appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, and other equipment.
• Properly secure items during transportation to prevent damage.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and maintaining an organized vehicle.
• Pick up and deliver parts and supplies from vendors and other locations. Experience in driving 24' Box Truck.
• Follow delivery schedules and complete deliveries in a timely manner.
• Obtain signatures or other required documentation for deliveries.
• Inspect items before and after delivery and report any damage or discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other moving, delivery, and miscellaneous duties as needed.
Qualifications
• Valid California driver's license and a good driving record.
• Previous delivery, moving, warehouse, appliance, or similar experience preferred.
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy appliances and parts.
• Must be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying throughout the workday.
• Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions.
• Must be comfortable driving a company vehicle and working in various locations.
• Ability to safely use a dolly, hand truck, straps, and other moving equipment.
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
• At least 2 years experience as a mover/delivery driver in a multi-family and/or commercial setting. Must possess a valid driver’s license and all the necessary documents required by the government for employment. Must have experience driving a 24' Box Truck. Must be physically able to lift at least 40 lbs.
