We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team and help run a busy, quality-driven kitchen.
This is a working leadership position. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable being on the line with the team, setting the pace during busy services, maintaining high standards, and developing cooks into a stronger crew.
The right person is organized, dependable, calm under pressure, and takes pride in running a clean, efficient, consistent kitchen.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Lead and manage daily back-of-house operations
Work the line and actively lead during busy services
Train, coach, and develop cooks and prep staff
Maintain food quality, consistency, portioning, and presentation
Create a positive kitchen culture built around teamwork and accountability
Manage prep levels and ensure the kitchen is properly set up for service
Assist with scheduling and maintaining appropriate labor levels
Manage ordering, inventory, receiving, and product rotation
Monitor food costs, waste, and portion control
Maintain cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and food-safety standards
Ensure equipment and kitchen areas are properly maintained
Communicate effectively with FOH management and ownership
Help identify problems and create solutions before they affect service
Hold the team accountable while maintaining a respectful and professional kitchen
What We're Looking For
Previous Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, Lead Cook, or similar leadership experience
Strong line-cooking skills and ability to lead by example
Experience working in a high-volume restaurant
Strong organizational and communication skills
Understanding of food cost, labor, inventory, ordering, and waste control
Ability to train and motivate a team
Dependable, professional, and willing to take ownership
Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Food safety certification preferred
The Person We're Looking For
We want someone who leads from the front. You should be willing to jump on a station when the kitchen gets hit, help a cook who is struggling, teach rather than simply criticize, and hold people accountable to the standards of the restaurant.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced kitchen professional who wants to take ownership of a kitchen, build a strong team, and grow with an independent restaurant company.
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time
Experience: Restaurant kitchen leadership experience preferred
