This is a fantastic 5 channel passive soundbar for home theater that works great with an amplifier.

Recommended Amplification: 20 – 200 Watts per channel.
Crossover Setting: Definitive Technology recommends setting your receiver's crossover to 100 Hz or 120 Hz if using a subwoofer.
Driver Configuration (9 Total)
The SSA-50 features a total of nine drivers organized to handle front and surround channels:
Front Channels (Left/Center/Right):
Three 1" pure aluminum dome tweeters.
Three 4.5" BDSS high-output mid/bass drivers (axially aligned with the tweeters).
Two 4.5" BDSS full-range drivers.
Surround Channels:
Four 3.25" full-range high-output drivers with butyl rubber surrounds.
