Classic 1968 Boston Whaler Eastport with wood interior, center console, Honda 50 HP, trailer, electronics, and a substantial amount of recent mechanical work.
$6,000. Motivated seller and priced for a quick sale.
This is a solid classic Whaler that needs cosmetic finishing, but the expensive mechanical work has already been done.

Motor & recent work
1990 Honda 50 HP
The motor was overhauled last fall at a cost of approximately $4,200. See images.
Also recently added:
- Brand-new steering cable – approximately $350
- Brand-new propeller – approximately $125
- Brand-new battery and charger – approximately $175
- Bilge pump
- New trailer tires
Electronics
Includes a new-in-box Humminbird HELIX 5 CHIRP DI GPS G2, plus RAM mount and cover — approximately $390 value.
Trailer
Included with the boat.
3,000-lb GVWR trailer with new tires. A tad rusty.
The boat
The hull is good. The work it needs is primarily cosmetic:
- Gelcoat could use attention
- Wood needs refinishing/reconditioning
- One broken glass pane on the console
- Some console components need to be reassembled after I started restoring it
It has three wood seats and the wood center console, along with what appear to be the original-style steering wheel, lights, and other period components.
I listed it in fair condition because of the cosmetic work, not because I'm aware of a major hull or mechanical problem.
I bought the boat in 2019 for $5,500. It had reportedly been used primarily in freshwater before I purchased it.
When I bought it, one of the wood seats had been replaced with a plastic seat/cooler arrangement. I removed that and put the wood seat back in, so you may see the old setup in a few of the photos.
Why I'm selling
I simply don't use it enough anymore and need the space for trucks and storage containers during a home renovation.
I have considerably more invested in it than the asking price, particularly after the recent motor work, but I'd rather sell it quickly than have it sitting here.
Quick-deal extras
If we can make a straightforward deal and you are ready to take it with you, I'll also include:
- Newport Vessels 55-lb-thrust trolling motor
- Cabela's Group 27 AGM battery
- Minn Kota battery charger
- Large can of Epifanes marine varnish
- Any other useful boat-related gear I have around
$6,500 for the boat, Honda 50 HP, trailer, Humminbird, and listed equipment.
Serious buyers are welcome to come inspect it.
Please make an appointment with the intention of towing it home if we agree on a price.
