This position is mostly regional with a mixture of short-medium length trips (Ranging from 250 miles to 550 miles). Must be able to handle these runs safely. Currently have dedicated direct shipper lanes, and contracted broker lanes, from Texas to Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Mississippi (Also on OTR Load boards, would prefer running the Truck to the Midwest, upper Midwest, or Southern states.) will be off most weekends, except if the driver wishes to work.
*** But can work with the driver on his preferred lane, as long as the lane is profitable to both the driver and the company.
The driver needs to be flexible and accommodating with the changing market zone rates
Job Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 years of actual verifiable experience and highly skilled in backing and maneuvering tight spaces.
2. Valid Texas active CDL with legal work authorization
3. The driver must have transportation to the yard. (No taking the truck home as a personal ride)
4) Must not be on SAP within the last five years.
5) Must have a decent criminal background history. (Can accept felons if the record is beyond 5 years, but will not accept theft on record)
6) Must be flexible and open to odd delivery schedules
Other desired requirements:
1. Pre-trip is highly necessary, and frequent on-trip inspection.
2. Should be able to send clear copies of all delivery paperwork on time
3. Sometimes might work as a rescue driver for other drivers who are stuck. will get paid on it.
4. Willingness and ability to do minor maintenance, if necessary (e.g., fix a wiper blade, change mud flap, change light bulbs, also consistently keep the Truck clean, etc.)
5. Expect the driver to leave in Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.
