WE'RE BUILDING OUR EVENT CREW CALL LIST!
Wow Factors Event Furniture & Décor is looking for **experienced, dependable, hardworking individuals** to join our temporary, part-time event setup and teardown crew.
We produce events of all sizes throughout Central Indiana, primarily in Indianapolis. From corporate events and galas to weddings, fundraisers, festivals, and private celebrations, we need people who know how to get the job done professionally, efficiently, and safely.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WITH ACTUAL EVENT EXPERIENCE!
This is not a regularly scheduled position. We are building a **CALL LIST of qualified event workers** who are available for occasional assignments.
HOW OUR CALL LIST WORKS
- When we have an upcoming event, we send out emails and text messages with available work opportunities.
- You respond if you're interested and available.
- Once confirmed, you're booked for that assignment.
- Event details and crew instructions will be communicated by email through your assigned crew leader.
- Work may be scheduled mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight, or late nights, including weekends.
- There are no guaranteed weekly hours. You choose which available assignments you can accept.
**IMPORTANT – LOAD-IN & LOAD-OUT REQUIREMENT**
When accepting an event assignment, **you are expected to work BOTH the load-in (setup) AND load-out (strike/teardown)** unless otherwise specifically directed in the assignment email from our Logistics Manager.
Some events may require several hours between setup and teardown. You must be available for both portions of the assignment when accepting the booking, unless the Logistics Manager has specified otherwise.
**Do not accept an assignment unless you can fulfill the entire scheduled commitment.**
### WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
We need experienced people comfortable working with:
- Event load-ins, setups, strikes, and teardowns
- Moving, setting up, and breaking down tables and chairs
- Installing and removing table linens and event décor
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Moving event furniture and equipment
- Setting up event spaces according to instructions and floor plans
- Assisting with staging, drapery, scenic elements, and decorations
- Working alongside our experienced event crew leaders
- Properly handling, protecting, and packing rental equipment
**ADDITIONAL SKILLS ARE A BIG PLUS!**
Experience with hand tools, power tools, staging, lighting, drapery, carpentry, furniture assembly, or audiovisual equipment is especially valuable.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR CREW
We have high standards, and our clients expect the best.
- Previous event setup or teardown experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be physically capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving event equipment.
- Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
- Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to follow directions.
- Must work well with others and respect crew leadership.
- Must arrive clean, sober, appropriately dressed, and ready to work.
- Must be comfortable working around children, as many of our events are family-oriented or involve children.
- Must treat clients, guests, coworkers, and equipment with respect.
- Must be able to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.
**This is physically demanding work. We are looking for people who take pride in doing an excellent job.**
### REQUIRED WORK ATTIRE & SUPPLIES
All crew members must provide their own **SHOW BLACKS**, consisting of:
- Plain black shirt
- Black pants
- Closed-toe work shoes
- Your own work gloves
Please bring your own snacks, meals when appropriate, and beverages. **All beverages must be non-alcoholic.**
We do take group breaks every 2 hours as a group.
PAY RATE & PAYMENT POLICY
**$20.00 PER HOUR – PAID CASH UPON COMPLETION OF YOUR ASSIGNED EVENT WORK!**
**FOUR-HOUR MINIMUM PAY – $80.00 MINIMUM PER BOOKED SHIFT!**
Our payment policy is as follows:
- **Hourly pay rate:** $20.00 per hour.
- **Payment method:** Cash.
- **Four-hour minimum:** You are guaranteed a minimum of four hours of pay ($80.00) for each booked shift, even if the work takes less time.
- **Load-in AND load-out assignments:** Payment will be made in cash **at the conclusion of the load-out**, after all assigned work has been completed.
- **Load-in ONLY assignments:** When specifically scheduled for load-in only by our Logistics Manager, payment will be made in cash **at the conclusion of that load-in session**.
- **Load-out ONLY assignments:** When specifically scheduled for load-out only, payment will be made in cash at the conclusion of that load-out session.
- **Breaks:** Regular breaks are provided approximately every two hours, depending on event operations.
**IMPORTANT:** If you accept an assignment requiring both load-in and load-out, you are committing to both sessions. Payment will be made at the completion of the final load-out, not after the initial setup.
All work assignments and payment arrangements are subject to applicable wage and hour requirements.

A valid government-issued photo ID will be required for identity verification before working. Please do not email a photograph of your ID unless we provide a secure method for submitting it.
