This well optioned 1969 Corvette has newer factory color code Monaco Orange two-stage paint applied to an accident free body and newer chrome together with an upgraded factory vinyl covered hardtop (which beautifully compliments the factory Monaco Orange paint.) The soft top is present and original but will need new vinyl as we never got around to it. The frame (and chassis components) are California born and remain not only solid but beautiful with no noticable pitting, given the climate and low miles. The painter did get overspray on the rebuilt rear suspension that would need to be pressure blasted for its previously gorgeous appearance.
The Chevrolet factory code correct restored black standard interior posseses new reproduction "basketweave vinyl" seat covers, driver side door panel (the original had one small hole but no cracks), and top dash pad, together with new carpet laid over specialty carpet insulation, altogether complimented by an upgraded factory tilt-telescopic column. Most or all of the weatherstrip (exclusive of the tops) is new reproduction, and the rear deck rubber drain hoses were replaced to keep water out of the rear storage compartment. Also believe the rear compartment doors are mostly or entirely new reproductions. All the electrical was inspected and repaired, but at your discretion you may want to bring a battery should you wish to re-check the work, however the original radio would need to be rebuilt if you want that functional (as I previously used to install a Bluetooth amp for smart phone compatibility.)
The Corvette is all mechanically rebuilt except for the differential. That's all front suspension bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends; and, rear suspension rebuild inclusive of trailing arms, and u-joints. The brake system has been completely rebuilt once and then I replaced the front calipers a second time, for which it may need new seals a potential third time but for the piston seals sitting idle (Don't think we charged the system with fluid that second time around to prevent any leaking recurrence.) The tires are all new BFG's mounted to original and correct rally wheels, but we haven't had the car aligned since the suspension rebuild. When the motor and transmission were rebuilt, I had new reproduction GM heater hoses and a new heater core installed with the correct insulation/ gasket kit. When the motor was rebuild I had all the accessories replaced or rebuilt including the power steering pump system (with new or rebuilt power steering control valve, ram and four new hoses), together with the alternator (and exclusive of the smog pump which I cannot remember any rebuilt condition regarding at this time.) All three (headlight and wiper door) vacuum cans and all three relays have been replaced with anodized reproductions: for both the rebuilt headlight and rebuilt wiper door system(s), altogether connected with all new reproduction vacuum hoses.
Since we had the original numbers matching motor and transmission rebuilt (re-ringed and re-sealed together with new bearings but for being apart), I have twice been hampered by finishing the restoration. Some of the 350 HP pulleys (water pump and crank), the belts, the new aluminum radiator hoses, the fan and fan clutch, the fan shroud, passenger side exhaust air injection reactor (smog) rail, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and some of the trim including three center caps, a stingray emblem, two top fender trim pieces, a rear gas door "cross flag" emblem, in addition to the hardtop headliner: have been stolen (another mechanical shop in the area is fencing my stolen parts and I filed a police report but remain unwilling to continually confront them anymore than I already have because inspiring ethical behavior has been hopeless.)
After the car was sitting it received a small one inch crack (now repaired) on the front right fender, the only body damage the vehicle looks to have ever suffered. Not pictured but included are chromed factory finned aluminum high horsepower valve covers, new wheel trim rings, and side fender "gill" trim, a rebuilt date code and part number correct water pump sourced on eBay, altogether with a few other smaller loose parts. Now that we have lost previous our previous storage arrangement, so our loss is your gain. OBO
