Denon DCD-1560 CD Player w/ Remote & Box – New Caps, Belts, Etc. - $500 (Hubbard)

I'm selling (1) Denon DCD-1560 Compact Disc Player. This is a higher-end model from 1989. Very rigid construction; weighs 23.5 pounds. Has the famous Sony KSS-151A laser pickup with linear motor, which is mounted on a ceramic block with shock absorbers and is very fast. Has Burr-Brown PCM1701P 20-bit DACs.

Includes: original RC-211 remote in great working condition; original box and packaging; original user's manual.

Extensive work has included:

• Replaced all electrolytic capacitors with high-quality Panasonic Type FC and FR 105°C electrolytics or WIMA films, as appropriate. Most of this was done in 2011 and the last few were installed this year. The unit has had little use since 2011 (I switched to the Integra DPS-10.5 around that time). See photos.
• Replaced the 5 main voltage regulators with appropriate versions from ST Microlectronics or On Semi. See photos.
• Cleaned old grease from the transport and lubricated with Tri-Flow oil (on the stainless slides) or Super Lube Synthetic Grease (on plastic parts).
• Replaced the rubber H-dampers in the pickup shock mounts (the original ones had crumbled).
• Replaced both tray belts.
• Adjusted pickup focus (in 2004). It is still good, reading CDs and CD-Rs without trouble, but could most likely be adjusted further if a problem crops up.

The unit itself is in very good cosmetic condition with minor scratches. The remote has minor scratches. The box has some tape damage but is intact. See photos.

All of the outputs work correctly.

Tray opens and closes smoothly without hanging up.

Transport reads the disc in less than 3 seconds and is very fast in all cases.

I can demonstrate this unit in Hubbard. I am available most evenings, and some other times, Monday through Saturday. Click the “more ads by this seller” link to see other items I’m selling.
