This is a pedal I built using the Pendulum harmonic tremolo PCB from Pedal PCB. This isn’t a clone of any commercial pedal, rather one of Roberts own designs of a harmonic tremolo.
If you’re not familiar with a harmonic tremolo vs a regular tremolo. A regular tremolo modulates the volume of the signal, like what you would get from a blackface or silverface fender amp. A harmonic tremolo splits the signal and inverts the phase on half of it. Then half is sent through a high pass filter, the other half through a low pass filter. Which are modulated from a vactrol formed by a light depdendent resistor and led. Then mixed back together. The end result is closer to a vibrato IMO than the volume modulated tremolo. Theres a link to a good you tube demo of what the circuit sounds like. I left the rate led off because I find them annoying :)
