Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team! Duties
Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts
Supervise and motivate staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to foster a high-performance culture
Manage food preparation and kitchen activities to uphold quality standards and food safety regulations
Handle cash transactions, POS (Point of Sale) systems such as QU POS and Micros POS, and perform cash handling duties accurately
Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety
Assist in managing budgets, analyzing profit and loss statements, and implementing cost-control measures
Lead staff training initiatives to enhance team skills in food service management, customer service, and food safety practices
Support shift management by coordinating schedules, resolving customer issues promptly, and maintaining high service standards
Contribute to the development of a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership
Qualifications
Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments or casual dining settings with supervisory responsibilities
Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
Experience with POS systems such as QU POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
Strong background in inventory control, food safety management, and food handling procedures
Previous assistant manager or managerial experience within the food industry is preferred
Excellent team management skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively
Solid understanding of restaurant management principles including budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and shift supervision
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory calculations
Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers alike in a fast-paced environment
Hospitality management or culinary experience is a plus; familiarity with banquet or catering operations is advantageous
