Used, tested good!
This is a used (Pre-Owned!) modular RF Amplifier operationally checked good on a Hewlett Packard Spectrum Analyzer with Tracking Generator.
Industrial users will know what this goodie for! Hobbyists may use it as a pre-amplifer for a short wave (HF) radio, AM or FM broadcast, or even as an output amplifier for a low power transmitter.
Typical 22dB Gain from 2-70 MHz and somewhat usable outside this range. The 2nd and 3rd order intercept points are exceptional! See attached detailed specifications.
The unit is built to be compliant with Mil-Std-1772 and Mil-H-38534. It's packaged in a machined aluminum case with gold plated SMA connectors.
A bit of history: Q-Bit Corporation was acquired by Remec in 1997. Spectrum Controls bought Remec in October 2004. API bought Spectrum control in 2011 and started using that name. The latest is that all is owned by a private equity firm. AFAIK, Q-Bit is still in it's original location and making new parts. Current QB-101 units are priced at $2200!.
These are rarely available used as most are still in functioning in their original equipment. Now one may be yours for only $220.
2-70 Mhz RF Amplifier
