May commute directly to jobsite in the morning if close to your home, otherwise may meet at Hayward warehouse to carpool with Foreman.
M-F 7:00am-4:00pm, sometimes rarely 6:00am jobsite start, often 7:00am jobsite start, occasionally may go past 4:00pm to finish projects.
Some Saturday work available if you are as well, if not no problem.
Golden State Material Handling (Hayward / SF Bay Area)
Golden State Material Handling is hiring a STORAGE RACK (pallet rack/shelving) INSTALLER to join our team in the East Bay.
A pallet rack installer assembles, erects, anchors, modifies, and dismantles warehouse storage and racking systems.
Core Responsibilities
• Reading Blueprints & Layouts: Review project drawings, floor plans, and manufacturer specifications to map out beam heights, bay spacing, and aisle clearances.
• Measuring & Marking: Use tape measures, chalk lines, and lasers to mark anchor points and square up the grid on warehouse floors.
• Frame & Beam Assembly: Stand upright frames, insert beams at required levels, and secure connections using safety clips, pins, or bolts.
• Anchoring & Leveling: Drill into concrete slabs, insert shims or packers under base plates, and fasten upright frames with heavy-duty wedge/expansion anchors.
• Installing Accessories: Add wire decking, safety netting, column guards, back guard panels, and rack-level accessories.
• Quality & Safety Checks: Perform spot checks to ensure racks are plumb, level, tightly torqued, and compliant with safety standards.
• Dismantling & Repairs: Take down existing systems, relocate beams, or inspect and replace damaged rack components.
Common Job Requirements
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials (frequently 25 to 40+ lbs), bend, stand, walk, and work at heights.
• Tool Proficiency: Experience using impact drivers, hammer drills, wrenches, ratchets, and rubber mallets.
• Certifications & Licensing: A valid driver's license (often with a clean record for travel) and sometimes OSHA 10 safety certification
IF WE HAVE NO INSTALLATION, you may work/support in our warehouse the following:
Job Duties:
Pull and prepare pallet rack and material handling equipment orders
Load and unload trucks
Organize and stage inventory in the warehouse
Assist with general warehouse operations and keep the work area clean and safe
Support delivery and order fulfillment as needed
Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work on your feet
Reliable, hard-working, and punctual
Basic warehouse experience preferred (pallet rack, order pulling, or loading/unloading a plus)
Forklift experience a plus but not required
Must be able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
