Job Description:
We are looking for a pro-active and reliable person to assist with a variety of farming tasks on our horticultural farm in Hawi. You will be working directly with and supporting our on-site Farm Manager to keep equipment installation and planting moving efficiently. This opportunity requires a person as soon as possible. This is an outdoor, hands-on physical position for someone with at least 2 years of farming experience and for someone looking for steady, part-time work.
Responsibilities:
Roll out and secure weed mats across designated areas.
Assist in constructing a horticultural enclosure (fencing, framing or netting support).
Perform various farming tasks and general site upkeep as requested by the on-site supervisor.
Requirements:
Experience – minimum 2 years of farming work
Pro-Active and positive attitude
Flexibility to work morning hours (exact daily start times will be coordinated directly with the farm manager).
Ability to perform outdoor physical labor in varying Hawaii weather conditions.
Reliable transportation to and from the job site in Kohala Grove.
Dependable, punctual and able to take direction well.
