Thick, and weighs about (4) lbs.This is a very nice piece of work.This unit is custom made and brand new. It comes in its original packaging. If you aren’t used to working with shutters you should try this one out. Instead of shutting down your Laser every time you want to make an optics adjustment, just close the shutter to block the beam instead. For continuous lasers, this approach alleviates a lot of stress from excessive restarts and keeps the Laser head at operating temperature.
Looks to have a air port to keep things cool as well.
These were surplus from a laser research facility.
