Farming had always appealed to our founder ever since he can remember, and having studied about farming informally for years, he began writing his dissertation on a farming related topic in 2010. Soon after he started his Doctoral candidacy, concurrently, he was scouted by a commercial farming operation, and he was, for the first time, exposed to commercial farming in detail. He soon discovered that for most farming operations, and for the most part, profitability was the over-arching factor in determining farming practices. Although most people involved in farming consider what they do as a delicate balance between sustainability and profitability, as a researcher, our founder could not justify most of what he was responsible for from day to day. As a result, after 5 years with the firm, he resigned his position, and dedicated all his time toward finding a comprehensively, and exhaustively sustainable solution to our current food production.
Starting 2012, in partnership with like-minded people, our founder began developing an organic farm part time, and started PN Scientific, an organization dedicated to educating and promoting truly sustainable food production -- during which time ideas, structures and practical ideations about Bioscaping was born. Working out all possible components of such a pursuit took some time, but basic theoretical structures came to surface with the need for practical practices being worked out in situ and on the job.
