The vendor who sells purported antiques from his home and goes by the name of James or Jim is very dishonest. He sold me a pendulum clock that does not swing, saying it worked at his house when I visited to purchase several items. He admitted the clock gonged two times, indicating 2 o'clock, but it wasn't even 1 o'clock yet. This in itself demonstrates the clock was not keeping time. Jim/James didn't have the integrity to admit this, and became frustrated when I pointed this fact out to him. He became very rude and hung up the phone on me. He also states that the items he's selling are from his late father's estate. However, there are at least 10 pendulum wall clocks, several grandfather clocks, and 8 to 10 mantle clocks. The pieces of furniture are many, and the paintings not old. Matter of fact quite new. I suspect James is a bonafide antique salesman and added the story of it being from his father's estate for effect. None of the furniture in his house is personal. Its all for sale.
I wouldn't buy from this individual. His home address is on Rutherford Street in Hampton.
