Halfmoon General is looking for a friendly, dependable team member interested in getting involved in all areas of the business.
This role is primarily customer-facing and includes working the front counter, serving customers, training as a barista, and helping with simple food service. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, stays organized when it's busy, and takes pride in keeping our store welcoming, clean, and well run.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Operate the till and handle transactions
- Restock shelves, coolers, and displays
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well presented
- Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, and other café beverages
- Learn barista workflows and drink preparation standards
- Help finish and plate simple food items when required
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly, outgoing attitude and strong communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs
- Previous retail, café, or customer service experience is an asset
- Barista experience is a bonus, but we’re happy to train the right person
- Serving It Right certification is required (we can help you obtain this)
Schedule:
- Part-time or full-time available
- Evening and weekend shifts required
