This plastic box contains two unopened (still in plastic) decks of playing cards with the tax stamps still affixed (this particular IRS revenue stamp was in use from 1940-1965, after which stamps on playing cards were no longer required). They advertise Ocean Shore Iron Works, a San Francisco business that began in 1906 and did business under the name Ocean Shore Boiler Works from 1952-1989. They made "all types" of boilers. These cards date from when the business was located at 1660 Jerrold Ave in SF. The insert included in the box with the cards suggests that the plastic box itself could be used for cigarettes or jewelry. This is a rare find for collectors of advertising memorabilia from San Francisco as well as playing card collectors. Light wear/soil to the plastic box. In Half Moon Bay.
