This is a is a beautiful, highly detailed vintage dolphin-themed lighted musical rare liquid-motion globe from the late 1990s/early 2000s gift-shop era. This unique collectible features a multi-tiered aquatic scene with molded dolphins, tropical fish, and a detailed coral reef resin base.
Wind-up musical mechanism plays "By the Beautiful Sea" smoothly.
The resin base and upper glass dome are in excellent vintage condition with vibrant colors and no chips or cracks.
There is a noticeable large air bubble/drop in the liquid level at the top of the glass dome due to natural vintage evaporation over the decades (see photos). The moving liquid-wave action still functions perfectly.
The music box winds and plays nicely. The battery compartment is clean, and the light works perfectly. No chips or cracks.
This is a wonderful, nostalgic piece perfect for coastal decor, music box enthusiasts, vintage collectors, or anyone interested in a fun conversation piece!
