Works fine just tested! Very little use - stored in a box for years.

The Yamaha TG55 synthesizer module was released in 1990.
It was introduced as a rackmount, digital PCM/AWM2 (Advanced Wave Memory) tone generator based on the
Yamaha SY55 keyboard workstation, which was released in the same year.
Sounds very unique for a synth, but I'm having to sell all my synths due to health.

The Yamaha TG55 is a 1U rack-mount, 16-bit sample-playback synthesizer module released around 1990, featuring 16-voice polyphony and 16-part multitimbrality.
It utilizes Advanced Wave Memory (AWM2) synthesis, offering 2MB of ROM with 74 waveforms (acoustic, drum, and digital) and includes digital resonant filters.
It is essentially the rack version of the SY55 keyboard.
