I have 6 storage bins filled with tool batteries to use or harvest, 3 of the bins are shell-less batteries (working batteries but no plastic shell), while the other 3 do have shells on them still. I also have around 500+ cells individually tested and charged in a cell tray. I was collecting these batteries to harvest to make a large ebike battery or home backup battery bank.
These are all tool battery packs with their shells removed. I do have a bunch of tool batteries with their shells still for 60,72,80,84v packs for various brands. But the rest are mainly 12-20v packs for makita, dewalt, milwaukee, black and decker, etc.
As I kept collecting them and taking them apart I realized that I couldn't find enough alike cells to make a larger bank, so this idea was scrapped and I went with prismatic lifepo4 cells. My failure could be your gain, as these cells are probably worth more than $5000.
These ARE NOT USED battery packs. These were all brand new, never used 3rd party packs as review samples. So every cell is brand new.
Note: I dont have pics of every tote, but the picture of the clear plastic tote with blue handles is what i mean about 6 of them full of battery packs. They are very heavy, around 60+lbs each.
