J&C Lawn Care is hiring an experienced Landscape Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Portland area.
We’re looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and experienced who can work independently or as part of a crew. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in doing a job well, and wants the opportunity to grow with a company.
Pay: $21 to $23 per hour, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-time
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, four 10-hour shifts
Growth Opportunity: Performance-based raises and opportunity to advance to Crew Lead
What You’ll Be Doing
Lawn mowing, edging, and blowing
Weed pulling and weed-control application
Shrub, hedge, bush, and small-tree trimming
Leaf cleanup and debris removal
Blackberry, ivy, brush, and overgrowth removal
General yard cleanups
Residential and commercial property maintenance
Loading and hauling landscape debris
Completing jobs according to company standards
Communicating clearly with supervisors and team members
What We’re Looking For
Valid driver’s license required
Previous landscape maintenance and yard cleanup experience required
Able to work independently and as part of a crew
Must speak English; Spanish is a plus
Reliable transportation
Dependable and punctual
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
Professional attitude and appearance
Equipment & Physical Requirements
Applicants should be comfortable using:
Lawn mowers
String trimmers
Edgers
Blowers
Hedge trimmers
Pole saws
Pruning tools
Hand tools
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, work on uneven ground, and safely perform physical outdoor work throughout the day.
