Small 24/7 production shop is looking for an **experienced CNC Lathe Operator** for ongoing production work.
**PAY: $30/HOUR**
**POSITION: 1099 SUBCONTRACTOR**
**SCHEDULE: FLEXIBLE – PICK YOUR OWN HOURS**
**SHOP: OPEN 24 HOURS / 7 DAYS A WEEK**
This is a production position making **axle spindles**. We primarily manufacture the **same part repeatedly**, so once you're familiar with the setup, dimensions, and process, the work is consistent.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
* Must have previous **CNC lathe operating experience**
* Must have experience operating a **Fanuc-controlled CNC lathe**
* Must be able to work independently
* Must know how to properly use a **micrometer**
* Must know how to properly use **calipers**
* Must be capable of accurately measuring parts and holding required dimensions
* Must know how to operate a **bandsaw** to cut raw material/blanks before machining
* Must understand basic machining practices, tooling, offsets, and part inspection
* Must be dependable and able to maintain consistent part quality
**IMPORTANT:**
This is **not an entry-level or training position.** No formal CNC training will be provided. You must already have enough machining experience to safely and competently operate the equipment.
Experience **programming Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes is highly desirable** and will receive preference.
Because we are a small shop operating **24/7**, there is considerable flexibility in scheduling. As a subcontractor, you can generally **choose the days and hours that work best for you** while coordinating production needs with the shop.
This could be a great fit for an experienced machinist looking for additional hours, evening/night work, weekend work, or a flexible side opportunity.
