SERVER
Job Summary
We’re looking for an outgoing, dependable, and energetic Server who knows that great service is about more than taking an order.
Our Servers are the face of Baja Beach Tacos. You’ll welcome guests, know our menu, make recommendations, keep your section organized, and make sure every table feels taken care of from the moment they sit down until they leave.
We want someone who can move fast, stay confident under pressure, and bring good energy without sacrificing professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Learn the Baja Beach Tacos menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, specials, beverages, and common allergens.
- Make knowledgeable recommendations and help guests discover new menu items.
- Suggest appetizers, beverages, add-ons, desserts, and other menu items when appropriate.
- Check on guests throughout their meal and quickly address questions or concerns.
- Deliver food and beverages accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized tables and sections throughout the shift.
- Pre-bus and reset tables promptly so they are ready for the next guests.
- Assist with side work, stocking, cleaning, and opening or closing responsibilities.
- Work closely with cooks, dishwashers, bussers, and fellow servers during busy periods.
- Handle payments and guest checks accurately.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol-service requirements.
- Check identification when required and follow Baja Beach Tacos policies regarding alcohol service.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude, even during a rush.
- Jump in and help the team wherever needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous serving or restaurant experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person.
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable talking with guests.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and ready to work.
- Able to multitask and manage several tables at once.
- Sense of urgency and ability to stay organized during busy shifts.
- Willingness to learn the menu and confidently make recommendations.
- Comfortable suggesting additional items without being pushy.
- Strong teamwork mentality — “that’s not my job” isn’t how we operate.
- Responsible and professional when handling alcohol, payments, and guest concerns.
- RBS certification or willingness to obtain required certification for alcohol service.

DISHWASHER
Job Summary
Baja Beach Tacos is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and energetic Dishwasher to join our crew.
Our Dishwasher plays an important role in keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and ready for service. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, moves with a sense of urgency, and isn’t afraid to jump in and help the team when needed.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, trays, and kitchen equipment.
- Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and running efficiently.
- Maintain clean floors, sinks, workstations, and kitchen surfaces.
- Empty trash and properly dispose of waste as needed.
- Help clear and organize used dishes from the dining area.
- Assist the kitchen crew with basic food prep and other tasks when needed.
- Safely lift and move pots, trays, boxes, and restaurant supplies.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
- Work with a sense of urgency, especially during busy periods.
- Communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house team to keep service moving.
- Jump in wherever the crew needs help.
What We’re Looking For
- Restaurant experience is a plus, but not required.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Able to work quickly without sacrificing cleanliness.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen.
