━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🐶 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
You’ll be working with two small, energetic dogs in their own Glendale neighborhood.
The family wants them to receive substantially more weekday exercise while also improving the way they behave and respond during walks.
The primary goals include:
✅ Better loose-leash walking
✅ Less pulling and taking over the walk
✅ Improved focus on the person handling them
✅ Better responsiveness around distractions
✅ Helping reduce barking and lunging around other dogs
✅ Reinforcing calm behavior and impulse control
✅ Practicing appropriate greetings around people
✅ Providing meaningful daily exercise and mental stimulation
The goal is not simply to tire them out.
We want the walks themselves to become part of their training.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🦮 YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND DOG WALKING + TRAINING
We are specifically looking for someone who understands that walking a dog well involves more than holding a leash.
You should be comfortable:
🐾 Walking two dogs together
🐾 Reinforcing loose-leash behavior
🐾 Recognizing canine body language
🐾 Redirecting attention before behavior escalates
🐾 Working around other dogs and neighborhood distractions
🐾 Using food, toys, movement, and environmental rewards appropriately
🐾 Reinforcing calm focus and responsiveness
🐾 Following an established behavior plan consistently
Experience with leash-reactive or highly excitable dogs is particularly valuable.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🌱 100% POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT
This is extremely important.
Karma Dog Training™ is a 100% positive-reinforcement, science-based, relationship-focused company.
We are looking for someone whose approach is built around:
🐾 Reinforcement
🐾 Motivation
🐾 Clear communication
🐾 Attention and focus
🐾 Counterconditioning when appropriate
🐾 Consistency
🐾 Patience
🐾 Trust
No choke collars.
No prong collars.
No shock collars.
No leash pops.
No intimidation or physical punishment.
We want someone who understands how to teach dogs what to do successfully rather than simply correcting unwanted behavior.

✅ Comfortable handling two dogs
✅ Observant of canine body language
✅ Professional
✅ Consistent
✅ An excellent communicator
✅ Willing to follow a training plan
✅ Genuinely passionate about dogs

💰 CONSISTENT RECURRING INCOME
$95 per 60-minute session
Monday through Thursday:
$380 per week
Because this is a recurring weekday assignment, it can be an excellent addition to the schedule of a Trainer or professional Dog Walker who already works in the Glendale / Northeast Los Angeles area.
If everything goes beautifully, additional Karma Dog Training™ client opportunities may also become available.

📍 GLENDALE AREA
We are especially interested in people located in or regularly working around:
🐾 Glendale
🐾 Burbank
🐾 Eagle Rock
🐾 Atwater Village
