Looking for an experienced siding, gutter, fascia/soffit, roofing, aluminum trim, or exterior installer to work alongside me installing permanent track-style holiday lighting on residential homes throughout the DC/MD/VA area.
PAY: $250–$500+ per day depending on the size of the job, skill, and productivity. Larger jobs and days where we complete multiple installations can pay more.
I value professional, skilled work and am willing to pay well for the right person. I'm looking for someone experienced, efficient, reliable, and capable of producing clean, professional-looking installations.
The most important skills I'm looking for are:
• Excellent measuring and cutting skills
• Very good at clean 45° cuts, gable/peak cuts, and custom angles
• Experience cutting and fitting aluminum/metal track or trim
• Comfortable and experienced working from extension ladders and at residential rooflines
• Able to mount track straight, clean, and tight to the home
• Familiar with fascia, soffit, siding, gutters, rooflines, and exterior construction
• Able to figure out clean ways to route and conceal wiring between different areas of the house
• Careful and professional when working on customers' homes
YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRUCK/WORK VEHICLE AND LADDERS appropriate for residential exterior work. Having the proper vehicle and ladder setup is an important part of what I'm looking for.
ABOUT THE WORK
I'll be on the installations with you. I handle the homeowner, overall lighting layout, controller/electrical side, system setup, programming, and helping the homeowner set up and learn the lighting app.
Your primary responsibility will be the physical exterior installation— ladder work, measuring, cutting and fitting the track, mounting it cleanly, and helping determine the best way to conceal and route wiring where it needs to go.
You do not need previous experience with this particular lighting system. I can teach you that part.
What I need is someone who already knows exterior work, is very comfortable on ladders, and can make accurate, professional-looking cuts around 45° corners, gables, peaks, and other roofline angles.
This can become consistent work for the right person.
If you're highly skilled and efficient, I'm willing to pay accordingly.
When responding, please include:
• Your exterior/trade experience
• What type of work you currently do or have done
• What truck/work vehicle you have
• What ladders/equipment you have
• Your general availability
• Photos of previous work if available
