Biggie is an English Bulldog mix who can be incredibly sweet and affectionate once he feels comfortable with someone.
When he settles in, Biggie enjoys being close to his people, receiving attention and simply relaxing around the house. Recent foster notes describe him as much more of a couch potato than a high-energy adventure dog.
He likes being near the people he trusts and generally prefers a calm, predictable routine.

Biggie is NOT an appropriate first-time foster.
He has a can be reactive, particularly when overwhelmed, uncomfortable with unfamiliar people or adjusting to a new environment.
Biggie needs someone who understands that trust cannot be rushed.
Recent foster notes show that during transitions he may initially be guarded, but he can become significantly more social and affectionate as he begins feeling safe. Blake Buttercup
We are specifically looking for someone who:
ā Has experience with reactive or behaviorally sensitive dogs
ā Understands canine body language and warning signals
ā Can provide a calm, structured environment
ā Will allow Biggie time to decompress
ā Will NOT force touching, hugging or interactions
ā Can carefully manage food, resting spaces and introductions
ā Will follow Ace of Hearts' handling/safety instructions
ā Has an ADULT-ONLY household

ā ļø CRATE / BARRIER REACTIVITY
Biggie is also barrier reactive.
He should NOT be placed inside a crate with the door closed.
He needs a foster who can safely manage him using household spaces, gates/separation plans and the handling instructions provided by the rescue rather than simply closing him inside a crate. Blake Buttercup

Biggie isn't constantly looking for activity.
He generally enjoys:
š¾ Relaxing around the house
ā¤ļø Being near people he trusts

š³ Backyard time / shorter outings
š“ Sleeping near his people
š„° Seeking affection once comfortable

The most important thing Biggie needs is someone who respects his boundaries and lets the relationship develop at his pace.

Must be 21+
Must already have full approval from landlord, roommates, family, etc.
Must be comfortable with large dogs
Must be able to follow safety instructions and leash/management notes
Must be able to attend adoption events/supply pickups at Petco in West Hollywood every other Saturday if needed
Must be able to transport dog to/from vet appointments if needed
Must commit to at least 4 weeks when possible
