We are a growing full-service interior design studio seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to support the Principal Designer throughout all phases of the design process. This position begins as an in-person role for training and collaboration, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid work schedule as responsibilities and proficiency grow.
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow alongside a boutique design firm. The ideal candidate understands that no task is too small or too big and is willing to roll up their sleeves and contribute wherever needed.
Responsibilities
-Assist the Principal Designer through all phases of the design process, from concept development through installation.
-Create and modify AutoCAD drawings.
-Develop SketchUp models and prepare presentation materials using Photoshop.
-Source furniture, finishes, lighting, plumbing, and accessories.
-Prepare specifications, schedules, and design documentation.
-Coordinate with vendors, showrooms, clients, contractors, and construction trades.
-Manage purchasing, order tracking, expediting, and delivery coordination.
-Attend site visits, client meetings, showroom appointments, and installations.
-Provide general administrative and project support to ensure projects stay organized and on schedule.
Qualifications
-Minimum of 2 years of professional interior design experience.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop.
-Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously.
-Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
-Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required for travel to job sites, showrooms, vendor meetings, and client appointments.

Compensation
$50,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and schedule (part-time or full-time).
