Position Summary
Ritchie Trucking Service Holdings, Inc. is seeking experienced Class A Line Haul Drivers to safely and efficiently transport freight between designated terminals and customer locations. This position is primarily responsible for long distance, terminal to terminal runs, often during evening or overnight hours, with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and on time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company regulations
• Perform line haul freight transportation between terminals on scheduled routes
• Hook and drop trailers, including doubles and/or triples as required
• Complete pre trip and post trip inspections and report any vehicle or equipment issues promptly
• Maintain accurate logbooks, trip reports, and required documentation (ELD, BOLs, etc.)
• Adhere to assigned schedules to ensure timely delivery and meet service commitments
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal staff, and operations management
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while representing the company
• Other duties as assigned by Manager/supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Minimum 1+ years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred
• Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements
• Must meet DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening requirements
• Ability to operate in night and/or overnight schedules
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs occasionally
Work Schedule
• Line haul routes with regular, scheduled runs
• Evening, night, weekend, and holiday work may be required
• Home daily or on a predictable schedule, depending on route assignment
