In this position, you'll assist an experienced roofer with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential roofing systems. This is a hands-on, outdoor position that requires reliability, physical stamina, attention to safety, and a willingness to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential roofing systems, including composition shingles and tile roofing.
Assist with preparation, installation, repairs, and cleanup.
Safely operate hand tools and power tools used for roofing and construction.
Set up and properly use ladders, safety harnesses, and other fall-protection equipment.
Load, unload, carry, and organize roofing materials and equipment.
Perform physically demanding work, including lifting roofing materials and working on roofs for extended periods.
Maintain a clean and organized jobsite by removing debris and properly securing tools and materials.
Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures.
Assist experienced roofers and crew members with additional tasks as needed.
Experience & Qualifications
Previous roofing or construction experience is required.
Residential roofing experience is highly desirable.
Experience with composition shingles, tile roofing, roof tear-offs, and roof repairs is a plus.
Familiarity with roofing tools, power tools, ladders, and safety harnesses is preferred.
Must be comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
Must be capable of performing physically demanding work, including heavy lifting.
Must be dependable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a crew.
Reliable transportation is preferred.
