Must have experience
Duties and responsibilities:
Read and follow tree preservation site plans and City of Fort Worth Urban Forestry guidelines.
Identify protected trees and their required protection zones.
Install chain-link fencing and orange protective mesh.
Drive T-posts, secure fencing, and install support braces as needed.
Install tree protection signs.
Clear small pathways for city inspectors without damaging protected trees or root systems.
Ensure fencing is properly positioned and secured for inspection.
Tools and equipment experience:
T-post driver and steel T-posts
Post-hole diggers and hand tools
Wire cutters, fencing pliers, and tie wire
Tape measures and measuring wheels
Chain-link fencing and orange construction mesh
Basic personal protective equipment
Experience needed:
Ability to read and interpret site plans and tree protection details.
Familiarity with critical root zones (CRZ) and tree preservation requirements.
Experience installing temporary construction fencing.
Landscaping, arborist, tree care, or construction experience preferred.
Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and complete the installation correctly.
