If running your business involves too many workarounds, too much re-entering information, too much searching for things, or too many questions that somehow keep making their way back to you, the problem may not be that you need to work harder.
Something in the way the business operates may be creating unnecessary work.
That’s where I come in.
I work with small businesses to figure out what’s making everyday work harder than it needs to be. Sometimes it’s a process that grew awkwardly over time. Sometimes software isn’t being used well. Sometimes information isn’t getting where it needs to go. Sometimes the business has simply outgrown the way it used to do something.
I don’t start by assuming you need new software, a giant project, or a complete overhaul.
I start by figuring out what’s actually happening.
That might mean looking at how work moves through the business, where people are getting stuck, what keeps requiring manual intervention, what employees are working around, and which problems are actually worth fixing.
The answer might be a better process, clearer documentation, a template, a software configuration change, a small automation, better use of something you already own, or a larger change if the problem genuinely calls for one.
The point is to solve the problem without creating three new ones.
