Aerial Precast Concrete, LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations and ensure our projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to plans and specifications.
We are looking for someone with a strong personality and leadership skills who can effectively manage field crews, subcontractors, schedules, and day-to-day jobsite challenges while maintaining professional communication with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and clients.
Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate daily field operations on assigned construction projects.
Supervise field crews and ensure employees are working safely, efficiently, and according to company expectations.
Read and interpret construction plans, structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
Coordinate the installation and erection of precast concrete components.
Plan daily and weekly work activities based on project schedules and priorities.
Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, subcontractors, crane operators, inspectors, and other trades.
Verify field dimensions, elevations, layouts, embeds, connections, and site conditions prior to installation.
Identify potential conflicts or field issues and communicate them to the Project Manager before they impact the schedule.
Ensure work is performed according to approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, deliveries, and crane activities.
Conduct and enforce jobsite safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
Complete daily reports, document project progress, and communicate delays, issues, or additional work.
Document field conditions and changes with photographs and written reports when necessary.
Maintain an organized, professional, and productive jobsite.
Hold employees accountable for attendance, performance, safety, and company policies.
Assist with punch lists and ensure corrective work is completed promptly.
Travel to project sites as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Construction Superintendent, Field Superintendent, or similar field leadership position required.
Commercial construction experience strongly preferred.
Precast concrete, structural concrete, steel erection, or similar structural construction experience is highly preferred.
Strong ability to read and understand construction drawings, structural plans, and shop drawings.
Experience coordinating cranes, rigging, erection activities, and field installations is a plus.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage crews and address problems directly and professionally.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple trades and work effectively with General Contractors and Project Managers.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling.
Knowledge of OSHA and construction safety requirements.
Comfortable using computers, smartphones, email, and construction-related software.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to travel when required.
