Ik pics are terrible, more pics coming soon.
Sometimes things don’t work out how we planned, and this is one of those times.
We bought these two boys about 3 months ago driving quite a distance, believing they were broke geldings and the perfect fit for our little girl.
Once home, we realized they were much greener under saddle than expected, so we hired a trainer. Our plan to keep them on our farm also fell through, leaving us with unexpected boarding expenses, quite a distance from our farm. Then our trainer noticed signs that they were still intact, which the previous owner confirmed that she misinformed us and they’re not gelded.
Between training, boarding, and unexpected expenses, these boys have become much more of an investment than we signed up for. With busy schedules and a 5-year-old whose attention span is somehow shorter than these ponies’, we have to be realistic about our long-term goals.
The hard part is they really are sweet little ponies! Flashy, curious, gentle, and eager to learn. We’re hoping to find someone interested in keeping them intact or better equipped to continue their training.
We aren’t looking to pass our situation onto anyone else. We just know that one truly broke pony, our daughter can hop on and live out her pony dreams with, is worth more to us than two still in the making. 🤎
We’d love to recoup some of our investment and find these boys someone who sees their potential and has a plan for them.
